The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the city.
I booked the restaurant for a romantic dinner, but the menus were completely different from what was advertised online. There was only one vegetarian option, and neither of us liked it. It was like the chef had changed. The restaurant was empty, which wasn't encouraging.

Charming and Attentive, a Real Gem

I stayed in Lady Mary's Loft. My room had lots of character of the building. The roll top baths are gorgeous and I found loads of storage space. The bar was very cool, very cozy.

I appreciated the apartment's quirky and well-equipped nature. It had a great kitchen. The staff were also very helpful, always available when needed, AND that was a plus. The location allowed us to easily access bars and shops.
The toilet setup in OUR room was quite awkward AND dangerous. It was situated in a cubby hole under a sloping roof. THE food quality was disappointing. The batter on the fish and chips tasted awful.

the hotel is near the town centre , so it was easy to get around. the room was clean and had a quirky feel to it. parking outside was free and convenient.
the afternoon tea i ordered was not worth the money , i found. the sandwiches were quite basic. the staff did not check on us .

the bar staff were helpful, i guess. they did point me toward a decent pint.
i booked a table in the restaurant, thinking i was getting a fancy meal, based on what their website showed. the menu was a total letdown. it was like they swapped out the good stuff for microwave dinners. the website advertised one thing, but i got something cheap. why bother having a website if its lies?

the food service was fine, but the food quality was poor at best. attention to detail was nonexistent. i asked for basic sides like ketchup. but they had run out, it was disappointing.
